Messages do not appear on the screen in the language you want. â¢ Select the language you want for the on-screen display in âOSDâ under âLanguageâ in the Setup Display (page 19). The language for the sound track cannot be changed. â¢ Multilingual tracks are not recorded on the DVD being played. â¢ The DVD prohibits changing the language for the sound track. The subtitle language cannot be changed. â¢ Multilingual subtitles are not recorded on the DVD being played. â¢ The DVD prohibits changing the subtitles. The subtitle cannot be turned off. â¢ The DVD prohibits turning off subtitles. The angles cannot be changed. â¢ Multi-angles are not recorded on the DVD being played. â¢ The DVD prohibits changing the angles.
The tape does not record or play, or there is a decrease in sound level. â¢ The heads are dirty. Clean them (page 46). â¢ The record/playback heads are magnetized. Demagnetize them (page 46). The tape does not erase completely. â¢ The record/playback heads are magnetized. Demagnetize them (page 46). There is excessive wow or flutter, or the sound drops out. â¢ The capstans or pinch rollers are dirty. Clean them (page 46). (âTUNEDâ or âSTEREOâ flashes in the display) â¢ Set the proper band and frequency (page 24). â¢ Connect the antenna properly (page 8). â¢ Find a place and an orientation that provide good reception, then set up the antenna again. If you cannot obtain good reception, we recommend you connect a commercially available external antenna. â¢ The supplied FM lead antenna receives signals along its entire length, so make sure you extend it fully. â¢ Locate the antennas as far away from the speaker cords as possible. â¢ Consult your nearest Aiwa dealer if the supplied AM antenna has come off the plastic stand. â¢ Try turning off surrounding electrical equipment. A stereo FM program cannot be received in stereo. â¢ Press FM MODE until âMONOâ disappears.
There is no sound. â¢ Refer to General item âThere is no sound.â (page 40) and check the condition of the system. â¢ Connect the component properly (page 37) while checking: â if the cords are connected properly. â if the cord plugs are firmly inserted all the way. â¢ Turn on the connected component. â¢ Refer to the operating instructions supplied with the connected component and start playing.
