Thanks so much for the Owner's manual for my Sony PS - FL1. I had purchased the turntable off of eBay. It came in and looked great. Packed well and appeared to be great. I balanced and aligned the tone are and hooked it up. When trying to play a record the tone are would move to the right place and just before it would drop to play it moved back off the edge of the record before touching down. I searched the net for an answer to this issue. No luck. Then I purchased the owners manual and sure enough there was a place to adjust where the stylus touched down. That adjustment solved the problem and saved me a $35 feet to have the player checked out. The manual is well written and easy to understand. It is a must have for anyone with this front loading Sony turntable.

Some years back I pruchased a Sansui G-9000. I had it cleaned up and a problem with the left channel repaired. When I got it back I hooked it up to my tape decks, turn tables, TV and it played great. The only thing I was not really satisfied with was the performance of my Graphic Equalizer. I purchased this owner's manual had poured myself a cup of coffee. The manual is well organized and written in plain language. It also contained the solution to my dissatisfaction. By using the preamp connections coupled I was able to run everything through my graphic equalizer and now enjoy the full potential of my complete system.

An excellent service for the price, however, it would also have been handy if the troubleshooter pages were included. The manual is only sent in the language of your country, thus it looks as though there are some pages missing. Otherwise highly recommended.

Pour changer les réglages d�affichage et de bips
Vous pouvez régler l�éclairage de la fenêtre d�affichage, changer la couleur de l�éclairage (CDC-X144 et CDC-X104 seulement) et activer ou désactiver l�indicateur de niveau VU et l�avertisseur. Pour ce faire, procédez de la façon suivante lorsque l�appareil est allumé. Certains paramètres ne peuvent pas être sélectionnés lorsque l�appareil est éteint.

Utilisation d�un autre appareil
Vous pouvez raccorder un autre appareil (lecteur de cassette, MD ou MP3 portable) à cet appareil. Reportez-vous au mode d�emploi de cet appareil pour le détail. Avant de raccorder un autre appareil, enlevez le CD inséré pour ne pas endommager l�appareil.

Appuyez sur (PUSH-MENU) jusqu�à ce que « SET » apparaisse dans la fenêtre d�affichage. Appuyez sur (SEEK) (+) ou (SEEK) (�) pour sélectionner « DIM », « VU », « BEEP » ou « ILM*1 ». Raccordez un lecteur de cassette/MD/MP3 portable ou un autre appareil à la prise AUX de cet appareil (3,5 mm de diamètre). Appuyez plusieurs fois de suite sur (SOURCE) jusqu�à ce que « AUX » apparaisse.

Divers réglages
Pour aligner les niveaux sonores (Ajustage des niveaux des sources)

CD est sélectionné comme source (page 8). Tournez (PUSH-MENU) pour changer le réglage du paramètre sélectionné.
Le volume peut être différent selon la source sélectionnée. Pour que le volume de toutes les sources soit approximativement au même niveau, vous pouvez aligner leurs niveaux.
Pour sélectionner le type d�appareil raccordé au panneau arrière
Vous pouvez raccorder un amplificateur de puissance ou un caisson de grave aux prises AUDIO OUT REAR à l�arrière de l�appareil. Lorsqu�un amplificateur de puissance ou un caisson de grave est raccordé, sélectionnez correctement le type d�appareil raccordé.

Sélectionnez la source dont le niveau sonore doit être ajusté. Appuyez sur (SOURCE) jusqu�à ce que « LEVEL 0 » apparaisse dans la fenêtre d�affichage. Tournez (PUSH-MENU) pour ajuster le niveau. Le niveau peut être réglé de �6 à +6 dB par incréments de 1 dB.

Lorsque l�appareil est désactivé (l�heure ou DEMO est affiché), appuyez sur (PUSH-MENU). Tournez (PUSH-MENU) pour sélectionner « REAR » (pour un amplificateur de puissance) ou « SUB » (pour un caisson de grave).
